Leone Beasley, (they/them, pronounced lee-OWN) is a non-binary writer, born and raised in Atlanta. They’ve spent most of their adulthood living between California and New York. They like to write about all types of queers folks: the eccentric, funny and ordinary, the do-good to the criminally inclined from the cities, and places they have lived and traveled.

Their debut novel Something Better than Home was a 2018 Lambda Literary Award finalist in Lesbian Fiction. It depicts the life of a soft butch, adventurous black girl, coming of age while coming out in the 1970s South.

They are presently working on a novel about moving through time, moonshine, and queer identities.
